First off all we at AIM don't consider ourselves as old fashioned architects, meaning as a generalist knowing every aspect involved in architecture but lacking a profound and solid knowledge of those different aspects. Architects at AIM are different as generalists we also exercise as profound specialists. AIM is a group of specialised architects, organised in a flexible and non-hierarchical horizontal way, giving the opportunity to young talented architects to realize their ambitions. This enables each AIM-architect to act as initiator and conductor of its own projects. The AIM-approach gives our architects de needed space to be able to keep their critical sense in there research of the ever changing construction sector. A contemporary architects practice is not organised in an “aborescent” way, with an approach of dualist categories and binary choices, but in a “rhizome” –way, that allows for multiple non-hierarchical entry and exit points in data representation and interpretation. (cfr. Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, Thousand Plateaus)

This is the way we see our job and define our vision.
